I think 17 pitch is not enough!
I can recommend aastainless steel prop called " LIGHTSPEED 13 1/4 x 20 " with this prop the boat hits 81 kmh ( GPS ) with 115 HK!
It is almost the same prop like laser2 , but without PVS and its cheaper!

I´ve recently bought the boat in the UK. And haven´t sailed that much in it. But the top speed is aorund 45-50 Mph. The motor was equipped with fins, but I have dismounted them now, som I hope the top speed will increase a little.
The motor is only fitted with a standard 17` Alu prop, so I believe a stainless steel prop could do a lot for the handling.
and top speed.
It´s a fantastic boat the 199. I also have a Campion 170 with a Merc 200, but the sea performance and handling of the 199 is "second to none"

My brothers 199 was fitted with a 115 Yam 2 years ago - and it run 89 kmH !!
My boat is a little heavier and i have antiflouling on the hull , maybe it stops a little bit
We were faster than our friend with a Campion " Chase 190 " fitted with a Yam 150 V6!!! ( 87 kmH )
Also the rough-water handling of the campion was very poor.

Very nice boat, you've got there! A friend of mine has the same one with a 140 Johnson. It's fast, but not as fast as mine...
So I'll take the one with the 225 Yamaha

You are right! The 199 looks better without rail , but i will keep them , because they are very useful for me
I found this site via google and i saw your 199 - great!! In germany this boat is very seldom and hard to find.
I will make an english version. I didnt had the time for doing it because i was always in my 199
My forum is new and i try to keep it in english and german as possible. 2 guys from Belgium and even from Sweden joined my " Fletcher-Driver-Database".
The 199 of my brother is now for 13 years in our family. before the 199 we had a 161 Arrowstreak.
Last year the " Fletcher - Fever " attacked me again , so i bought an Arrowsport 150 , i sold it because the engine was a little to big for that boat

You just have to enter the german-version and then click on " Wassersport-Bereich" , bcause the english version is not updated!
